High Maintenance Girls by Dr. Detroit on 07/31/2010. Trim: 2003 Volvo XC70 Cross Country, Owned 5 years.
Pros: The I 5 turbo engine has a boost of power and runs quietly. Body style is most unique. Seats are very comfortable and versatile. Includes unique features like built-in child booster seats and cargo net. Very little road noise.
Cons: Too expensive to maintain. Has maintenance issues that aren't seen in less expensive cars. Every Volvo I've owned has had issues with motor mounts. The XC 70 seems to have issues with control arm bushings and sway bar linkages. Also seems to have problems with wheel bearings. The earlier XC models has an interior door handle that seems to intrude on the driver's leg space (for taller drivers).
Overall review: The car has great style and overall expectional quality. Would definitely consider buying another one.

139k, 7 yrs and i wont part with it by An MSN Autos Consumer on 10/03/2012. Trim: 2003 Volvo XC70 Cross Country, Owned 7 years.
Pros: I have a 2002 xc70 which is no longer on the list to review, but I have to say that i got it when it was 3 yrs old and had 32,000 miles on it. I have driven it for 7 yrs and no have 139k. I have had one problem with the tach racing which was fixed under warranty. The car has saved me from 2 Accidents on snow covered roads when everyone else was sliding off the rd. It is very comfortable and the adjustable drivers seat gives a great view. I get 21mpg around town and 31 on the highway.
Cons: The only thing that i can think of is that i wish there was a way to open the rear hatch from inside the car
Overall review: This has been one of the best cars that i have ever owned and i plan on driving it until it hits 200k. I always feel safe in bad weather, have tons of space for camping and the dogs and i drive a luxury car.

Great Car! by An MSN Autos Consumer on 03/10/2013. Trim: 2003 Volvo XC70 Cross Country, Owned 8 years.
Pros: This is a true luxury car with an ability to go just about anywhere in any kind of weather. It's safe, comfortable, spacious, and performs beautifully in snow, ice, rain, and anything else mother nature can dish out. It might not be sporty, but there is nothing else I would want my kid driving in the winter.
Cons: it is the vehicle of choice for upscale soccer moms who reject a minivan. But as my wife is quick to point out....If you wanted a Porsche, you should have bought a Porsche.
Overall review: This is a great car and I will buy another one.

Good car by An MSN Autos Consumer on 01/25/2008. Trim: 2003 Volvo XC70 Cross Country, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Great in the snow. Have driven in a couple of "blizzards" everyone around me was stuck. Great highway vehicle as well. Has plenty of power in the mountains when the turbo kicks in.
Cons: Very expensive to maintain if you drive alot of miles. All wheel drive decreases mileage substantially.
Overall review: Good all around car. Better to buy new as a used one will cost more to maintain than a new one under warranty.
